Notes: - Station Call letters edited out at 2:00 on track 2 and at the
beginning of track 5 - Source disc takes a commercial break after Bartender
and at approx 5:09 on track 07. Thus the audio doesn't flow perfectly at
these points. - About 1 minute of the Q&A was edited off the disc I recieved
compared to what was played on the Star98.7 KYSR LA webcast after the
staples show 05-15-2002
Thanks to Joel for a copy of the master disc.

Henry used my gear since his seats were a heck of a lot better than mine.
There is some wind noise present in the recording, but the show itself sounds fine.
Thanks to Christy Randell, Rachael Frentheway, Jay Delbridge, Kelly Shlater, and Bob
Haag for helping us get all the gear in. Full body pat downs aren't easy |

Set 2 is missing, taper went home:(
The Tangerine->IBYU from this show remains one of my all time fav Dave
moments. There were not many people at this show. Maybe about 25-30
people at the begining. The source that is out here on etree sort of
cuts or begins abruptly into Tangerine. At the begining of my master
you can here Dave say "Hello and Welcome" before he goes into
Tangerine. I started recording literaly at the very begining of the
HIFI tape(bonehead!) and have not been able to make a Digital version
with the pre song comment because I cannot get the tape to rewind to
the begining. The Peter jam at the end of 2 Step is also pretty sweet
and one of my first favorite DMB jams.

NOTES:
----------
^ - Kelly Darnell introduces the band.
* - From mark 1:40 to 1:52 there is some tape distortion. The distortion is also on the master.
% - From mark .23 to .30 there is some tape distortion. The distortion is also on the master.
! - This is an unknown song. Dave mentions at the end of the song that it is a "Tune By Stefan Lessard".
# - Identifies a tape flip at the end of the song. A fade out was applied.
$ - Identifies a tape flip before the song. A fade in was applied.
Various sites list this show taking place at Rockafellas'. Kelly has assured me the show took place in a car dealership parking lot during a float building event. The name of the dealership is unknown.
There are two cassettes to this show. Cassette 1 contains Spotlight - Help Myself. Cassette 2 contains Tune By Stefan Lessard - Dancing Nancies. The master cassette 1 was eaten by Kelly's dog so my copy is a 3rd generation copy. My cassette 2 is the master cassette. Because of the generation difference there is a noticable change in sound quality from disc 1 to disc 2.
Thank you Kelly Darnell for another "gem".

* Thanks to Mark Lynn for the one DAT source.
* Ok, I had three different DAT sources for this show. One
was completely brickwalled and compressed. High level of
clipping. The other wasn't brickwalled / compressed, but
still had some clipping spots during the show. My theory
is that the board was way too hot at this show. To make
up for this, the taper had to set the levels pretty low,
but the board was still clipping on some of Carter's beats
and some of Dave's vocals. The peak levels on the DAT
throughout most of the show are pretty low, -8dB. The
fact that there is clipping lends credence to the hot board.
Most of the hot board is in Dave's vocal channel and a part
of Carter's rig. Board is hot in OSW, Warehouse, Nancies,
and of course AATW.....oh and Jimi Thing.
* Slight digi-glitch at 0:10 in OSW intro, barely audible.
* I fixed one minor digi-glitch during crowd noise after LIOG.
* The board cut out between IBYU and Recently. Not sure why.
I just did a crossfade during the silent part.
* I fixed a board burst around 2:30 into Ants.
