Notes Today we got 49th anniversary of this legendary show and here's my own contribution to it. What I am doing is sharing with my fresh rip I did from my almost mint copy of the very first pressing of the Crackers set. Released in 1978, it was originally issued as a triple single hard cartoon pocket envelope, soon reissued couple of times. The latter pressings from 1979 onwards were famous heavy hinged open boxes with inserts. Speaking in other words, Crackers has been released many times, as it was a very popular and on-demand title throughout entire 1980s. More info can be found here: http://www.floydboots.com/pages/crackers.php

I did two separate versions. The first is just a raw vinyl rip, without absolutely no processing, with all the crackles, pops and other factors. The second is a fully declicked and speed/pitch/phase corrected version, where I was able to eliminate most of the issues and this including several pops and some surface noises too. There's absolutely no technical procession on it, no EQ or other digital interferences. To be honest, I was always very unsatisfied with what I could find on the tracker, and this is my own attempt to make this particular version sounding better. Unless we get a raw tape transfer made by Jon Wizardo, this is possibly the best version of this source.

Lineage (raw version): Crackers 3LP set (first pressing) -> Pioneer PL-550 -> Steinberg UR44 -> Reaper -> WAV 24/96 -> TLH -> FLAC 24/96

Lineage (remastered version): Crackers 3LP set (first pressing) -> Pioneer PL-550 -> Steinberg UR44 -> Reaper -> WAV 24/96 -> mastering @ Elastique Pro 3 & Izotope (declicking and this featuring removing bigger pops by hand, pitch/speed/phase correction, manual volume and channel adjustments, etc.) -> TLH -> FLAC 24/96
