I took the vob files that contained ac-3 audio my friend, mikemono sent me a while back and decided to make an audio version with them. I converted the vob files to wav via NCH Software's Switch Audio Converter.

I know that converting lossy audio to uncompressed or lossless audio does not improve quality, but wav is the best audio format to use when editing, splitting, or batch joining audio.

Next, I used Clogica Software's, MP3 Audio Merger and Joiner to batch join the wav files so they can sound accurate after splitting them. Then, I used NCH Software's, Wavepad Audio Editor to split the long batch joined wav files into individual tracks. Last, I used The AppGuru Software's, Audio Converter to Any Format app to convert the individual wav files back to the original codec, bitrate, bitrate mode, and sample rate that it could record it's best at, AC-3 - 384kbps CBR/48khz.
