| Notes | There are two current sources of this show as of Dec. 2022. The first is an analog soundboard with all songs, but various problems with the tape including missing space between songs, additional digital static. The second is a digital soundboard source that has missing songs Tripping Billies, improv Graves intro, and 2001 patched in from the analog source. Both of these sources using the same analog patch, are also missing a few minutes between Lie in Our Graves and 2001 that contains some of the noodling and intro engineering from Dave. That is intact on this tape. All three tapes are likely from the same master, but have taken different journeys. This is a complete source that doesn't have many of the problems that other two sources have. But the problems that are consistent on all sources including this one are: * - four quick static pops at the beginning of Tripping Billies * - a quick static pop near the end of the solo section in Lie in Our Graves * - a split-second dropout near the end of The Maker * - five split-second dropouts during the outro of Dancing Nancies None detract from what is a beautiful, clear and complete recording. It's the first show after Peter left the band, and Dave dedicates Two Step to him and says that he has moved on to change in his life. This is a new source to circulation as of fall 2022. It is part of a collection of tapes that Bill Lakenan provided and allowed us to review for sources that didn't make it into the digital age. Huge thanks to Bill for trusting us with his personal DAT tapes to help us provide as many listening opportunity for fans as possible. |
