Don't Ease Me In

It was a hot Texas day, so the band didn't take the stage until well after sundown. The stage lights were kept down or off for much of the show so as not to cook the band. The resulting video was very dark, with only very bright reflections showing up. The brightness has been modulated to bring out what detail there was on the videotape, which also brings out the noise and grain that would usually be masked by a lower brightness level.

The videographers only had two 1-hour batteries, so what you see here is all that was recorded that evening. The missing video segments have been patched with graphic filler to allow for the complete audio performance. Technically, this show shares the distinction of occurring on 'Jerry's 40th Birthday' with the following night, as most of the show took place after midnight.

Jerry Garcia - Guitar
Bob Weir - Guitar
Brent Mydland - Keyboards
Phil Lesh - Bass
Bill Kreutzmann - Drums
Mickey Hart - Drums
