Tech Notes Alex Chilton (born William Alexander Chilton, best known as the lead singer of the Box Tops and Big Star.
Chilton's early commercial success in the 1960s as a teen vocalist for the Box Tops was never repeated in later years,
but he drew an intense following among indie and alternative rock musicians.
He is frequently cited as a seminal influence by influential rock artists and bands.

On a sidenote, I see listed over on etreedb that there is an audience recording of both sets from this night.
I haven’t heard that source. But what I'm offering here is soundboard from the first set.
If anybody can get in touch with Earcandy77 or Earl Greaves, they’ve got the audience recording for this

Alex and his band played two nights at The Edge October 3 and 4.

Additional thanks goes out to gv0000 for finding the newspaper article.
