This recording has problems with being overdriven at times. The Shure EA650 device was used as an attenuator, though the product's intended purpose is in-line headphone volume control. Unfortunately, the "attenuator" gets overloaded here and there throughout the recording. As a result, the recording quality is inconsistent, which is why I did not release the recording for many years. The experience frustrated me so much, that I borrowed a more rugged recorder from a local taper for the next Smashing Pumpkins show I taped (2007-11-18) in order to avoid the cheap and problematic Shure EA650 and Edirol R-09 devices. |
