| Media | CD-R 2 discs |
| Notes | X-Mas At Point Depot |
| Tech Notes | B.B King appears on Disc 2, Tracks 3-5 The first track on Disc 1 is The Rolling Stones' "Sympathy For The Devil", playing over the PA system, while the crowd await U2 to take the stage This concert is also available on KTS Records' ST STEPHEN'S AT THE POINT, and in an edited form on Beech Marten Records' SANTA CLAUSE IS COMING TO TOWN X-MAS AT THE POINT DEPOT (which is also available on Banana Records' DESIRE VOL 1 and DESIRE VOL 2) is the most complete recording of the December 26, 1989 concert It contains all of the tracks on every other December 26, 1989 concert listed in FLOM, as well as "Love Rescue Me" and the "Intro" ("Sympathy For The Devil." ST. STEPHENS AT THE POINT starts with a few seconds into "God Part II." Of some interest is the fact that Bono makes mention of the recent death of Samuel Beckett (a native Dubliner who left the country and wrote, among other things, 'Waiting For Godot' and 'Endgame,') before "Love Rescue Me." During another track, he quickly recites some poetry, presumably by Beckett, as well At 1:59 on track 2, Disc 1 (God Part II) a fair amount of distortion/feedback can be heard and lasts until approximately 2:00/2:01. This recording is not flawless Also, there seems the be a sound/source. dropoff during the beginning of Bullet the Blue Sky. This is the original pressing on this label. |
