| Notes | Recorded after the release of Bush Doctor, this is a nice, fat SBD. It came labelled 3/14/79, but it's commonly dated 3/15. Those may be the recording and broadcast dates. There is a show listed at db.etree.org on 3/14 for the Bayou in Washington, D.C. That could be a mistake, too, because the band was in the NY area on March 7, 8 an 9, 1979. I don't know which is right. Dennis McNamara says: "First time ever live on WLIR FM." Peter Tosh's August 22, 1979 performance at the Calderone Theater would be the next broadcast. |
| Tech Notes | Begins with a buzz in the right channel, which vanishes within 90 seconds. There was gap in the middle of Soon Come. I cross faded it together, with no loss of audio signal. I'd be surprised if you can find it. A tape flip towards the end of I'm the Toughest came pre-faded in/out. I patched it together without omitting anything, but there is some material missing and we lose a beat in the measure. I think it sounds OK. |
