This is a great recording of the fourth show of the North American tour for Tormato. I haven't seen this one listed on any music collecting site (including Forgotten Yesterdays), so hopefully it'll be new to Yes fans. This is a high resolution version in 24 bit / 96 kHz.

Tormato is not most people's favourite Yes album, but many say the ensuing tour sees Yes at the peak of their powers (I'm one of the "many"). The tenth anniversary medley is one of the best things ever concocted by this band, and as a whole their playing in this period is solid and focused. Steve Howe's exquisite phrasing is on full display in his solo in Time And A Word and the link between Long Distance Runaround and The Fish.

The last few songs are missing, but it's a far better sounding recording than the existing source from this date. Perpetual Change is cut because the taper left with his gear rolling to relieve himself (I removed this portion of the recording, and have otherwise left it untouched). As a result the quality drops a bit towards the end of the big medley, but the taper eventually returns to his original position.

The show was taped by Doc West of 963 XKE FM in Fort Wayne, IN. I found this on YouTube, got in touch with the person who posted it, and he kindly sent me the FLAC files in 24/96, but didn't answer my follow up question about the gear or transfer. So until that information becomes available, the lineage is just this:

AUD > Master Cassette > WAV (24/96, edit) > FLAC level 8
