"* give thanks to candileaf for preserving this "heavy" show on tape and transferring it to cd! he played this show only occasionally and we're lucky it survived in mighty fine shape. there are very few signs of deterioration (when listened to w/ out headphones)!! i haven't come across any live music from this reggae great, who is no doubt one of my favorites!!!

** overall, lovely sound despite the presence of a few very small warts or light crunches beneath the surface of the music (this is a solid recordinging (B+ > A- for vocals / A for the rest of the music), but remember, i hate grades and i'm an easy grader. It's hard to predict what you'll give it (i can see anywhere from B > A), but regardless, this is very enjoyable for me). sadly, however, the vocals are a little low so you might want to crank it. still, the beauty and power of hugh mundell's voice is some what neutralized by the recording, which is odd because the band sounds wonderful (clear, loud, and fully present). very minimal tape hiss and almost no crowd disturbance. i'm sure i'm being overly critical of the sound quality, and every time i get distance from this show and revisit it, i find it sounds better than i remembered. moreover, the band is supa wicked! the guitar work is insane!! essential roots show!!! ... this is heavy ...

*** hope you enjoy this as much as i have!!!
(and let's make a deal ... you can only rate this less than 5 stars if you can seed better ... seriously ... does anyone have any hugh mundell? ... jack? bean? rasta? finbar? ... we need more than this! o jah ... please bless us with more of hugh mundell's live music!!!)"
