| J-Card Comment | One of the few rare live performances of the phantom electric band II, which disbanded after one year of activity and only one album in Chic's long musical career, appeared in the highest quality of sound!! Formed in 1985, the shocking Chick Korea electric band that shocked the world. In the middle, only the rhythm section was independent, and activities in an acoustic band were carried out in parallel. Band members other than Chick, John Patitucci and Dave Weckle, also participated in producing and composing, and the band disbanded after the final form of the electric band's fifth album with a new sound, "Vinnie the Mask". I think it's time for all the members to graduate from Chick School, just like when Chick left Miles in the past, led by Patitucci and Weckle, who are already good enough leaders to be leaders. So, the discovery of the only remaining member of the electric band by Chick, other than Eric Mariensal, began, and gathered Larry Carlton, Crusaders, Stanley Tarentine, etc., as well as Chick's ally Stanley Clark and numerous tours with bassist Jimmy Earle, L.A.'s talented session man known for his participation in albums such as The Yellow Jackets, Charisma, and David Benoit, guitarist Mike Miller, and young jazz drummer Gary Novak, who was only 23 years old at the time but had also performed with big names such as Buddy Defranco, Kenny Burrell, and Louis Belson in high school, were members of the electric band They were strong people with the above skills. The concept of Chick in this band is clear, and the previous electric + acoustic band = electric band ? So, I started with the aim of a more contemporary sound. And in 1993? From the first and last tour, which began with the release of their first album "Paint the World" and was well received all over the world, on April 13, 1994, a rare live performance at the Espoo Jazz Festival in Finland was fully recorded on the label's own high-quality stereo soundboard!!
