| Tech Notes | Jerry Garcia Band 2/6/72 Pacific High Recording Studios, San Francisco, CA FM>R>DAT>CDR KSAN radio broadcast Disc 1: It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry; Tuning; Expressway To Your Heart; Tuning; That's The Touch; Save Mother Earth (instrumental); Imagine (instrumental); That's Alright Mama; Who's Loving You Tonight; When I Paint My Masterpiece Disc 2: Tuning; I Was Made To Love Her; Lonely Avenue; Tuning; How Sweet It Is; [filler - 6/4/74] Jam; Freddie Freeloader Notes: KSAN station identification in It Takes A Lot at 2:40 Odd dropout in Expressway at 10:30; digiglitch? but it doesn't sound like an extraction problem, more like a DAT problem. Beginning of Who's Loving You Tonight cut off (sounds like through the end of the first chorus) Brief dropout in I Was Made To Love Her at 3:56 About 1 second of static in Freddie Freeloader at 9:06, and a shorter burst a few seconds later, again at 15:12, and a few other smaller spots. These sound like DAT problems to me. |
