Liberty Transfer Sony R500> ZA2> Sound ForgePeterG Editing notes: 4-15-02 by Don Gregory (gregory-don@usa.net) All three discs were fixed with SHNTool to correct sector boundary errors. They were all then re-SHN'ed, thus the new MD5 files that accompany this show. Also, when I first got this show, it was tracked for 3 74-minute discs. The problem with this is that the person who originally seeded the show cut the last two minutes and change off of the Unbroken Chain, faded it out on disc 1, then faded the last two minutes of the jam in as the first track on disc 2. Considering that the whole song could fit, uncut, on an 80-minute disc, I decided to splice it so that the Unbroken Chain would be one complete track. Luckily, the original seeder did the fades right, so the last 5 seconds or so of d1t7 were the same as the first 5 seconds or so of d2t1. As such, it was a simple matter to use Cool Edit Pro to splice the two tracks together, then delete the overlapping part, which was the fade. As such, the Unbroken Chain has been restored (Perfectly, by splicing at a high zoom on the actual waveform. Trust me, you won't be able to hear the splice.) to being one track. Also, when I first got this, Franklin's Tower and the Donor Rap were a single track. Since this is a pretty classic line from Phil at the beginning of the Donor Rap, I thought it would be cool to be able to cue it up by itself, so I made it a track of its own. Sector boundaries are correct for this too. So, for anybody who's of the purist bent who wants to burn the show the way I originally got it, just use the tracking above. To use my spliced/complete Unbroken Chain version, you will need an 80 minute disc for the first CD. Replace d1t07 with d1t07-complete and delete d2t01. Tracking will appear as below in that case: Disc 1: 1. Jam 2. Comes A Time> 3. Help on the Way> 4. Slipknot!> 5. The Eleven> 6. Uncle John's Band> 7. Unbroken Chain Disk 2: 1. Night of 1000 Stars Set 2 2. Shakedown Street> 3. Celebration> 4. Just A Little Light 5. No More Do I Disk 3: 1. St. Stephen> 2. Slipknot!> 3. Franklin's Tower 4. Donor Rap --- Encore --- 5. Liberty Any problems, drop me a line at the e-mail address I listed above. |
