Notes sbd - quoting Jeff Cotsman "Warning: There is a bad connection between the PA system and the FM feed. This causes a buzzing that pops up throughout the show, accompanied by a total loss of amplitude for several seconds at a time. Nearly every song has several of these dropout episodes up until OMSN, with a few ocurrances in the 2nd set. Otherwise, the sound quality is not stellar either, and has frequent distortion and overmodulation on the portions from the primary source. The final portion of the 2nd set on disc 3 is slightly better quality, and the lineage might have one less analog generation, though this cannot be confirmed. Due to the technical problems, this entire show might only be for the completist collectors, and casual collectors might only be interested in the 2nd set. " This has been officially released as "Grateful Dead Download Series Volume 3". I haven't heard the Download release, but this circulating version with the fade outs etc interrupts the listening experience sufficiently that I'd exhaust the other available shows around this time before grabbing this one, or if your flush with cash grab the download. The version of Truckin > TOO here is very up tempo with Jerry taking the lead and not playing an ensemble role. Very unique version with the "rockiness" of it. Definitely temps one to splurge and get the download umblemished sbd. SO the show rating is split - with the Truckin'/TOO placing it up near the top of 71 for at least one hearing.
