Taken from Brent's Bootlegs:

This is really a primo bootleg. This recording has to be one of the 5 best sounding Rush bootlegs that have been released thus far. One problem, though. I compared the left and right channels and they appear to be 99.9% identical. What does this mean? It means that this is a mono (non stereo) recording. Don't let this discourage you however. This boot still sounds awesome. No collection is complete without this title.

Taken from Ron's ROIO Review:

This is an absolutely fantastic show, from the last night of the Counterparts tour. Taken from the "Animated" CD, most of the show is captured here. A nice bonus is the addition of "Bravado" to the setlist. This version is similar to that on the RTB tour, but Alex?s end solo has a more bluesy feel to it. The only bad part of this show is the fact that the encore is missing. With the exception of "Mirrors," and Critical Mass, this is the best sounding Rush ROIO to date. This one features a very full stereo sound, with the only drawback being a slightly trebly mix. This show is a must for any collection.

Taken from the Rush Trading Register:

One word describes this tremendous 2CD boot from the Counterparts tour. AWESOME! The sonic quality is fab - in stereo and, of course, it's a soundboard recording. The 2CD's give you the entire concert - only the encore of YYZ is missing. Highlights are numerous with rockin' renditions of Counterparts tracks such as Cold Fire - complete with Country & Western intro! - Double Agent and Stick It Out. You also get some great versions of older tracks with The Trees and Xanadu being personal favorites. The interplay between Alex and Geddy is great - for example when Alex takes the mic to introduce the band members at the end of Closer To The Heart - Ted Nugent, Karen Carpenter and Fabio! I just wish I had seen a Counterparts gig in person (no UK visit on that tour) (or on the current one!-Ed). Packaging, for those interested is dire with no pictures of the band, and a simple two color cover. Still it's what's on the discs that count and this double CD must ranks as probably one of the best Rush boot offerings out there. Beg, steal or borrow a copy as soon as you can. You won't be disappointed.

Ben's Notes:

Great show!! Unfortunately the copy I have is from an Mp3 source, but the quality is excellent none the less! I'm sure that better versions exist but to have a great sound from the Mp3 is good enough! At least with Mp3's you don't get the signal degradation you did with cassettes! (unless someone fries the files!) Clear highs (high hats nice and present) and lows (bass full and deep) and all in between are easily discernable! I'm going to have to trade for a copy off the CD source to see just how good this can get!
