Notes sbd Kaplan seed with some additional tunes compared to some of the prior seeds [2007-09-15]Very good sound quality and mix. Garcia's guitar on H2H is out of tune. Deadlists (Powell) makes a strong positive comment about "The jam in fast 8s interpolated into
That's It is extraordinary". It is interesting but not a life changing experience described in these LMA reviews "But it's the Other One suite that follows which makes you really pay attention. Unique as far as I know because of a rocking jam they insert between drums and the thundering bass Phil usually starts them off with, it has to be experienced to be believed. The energy comes from the drum solo (really from CR&S) which I normally can take or leave, but this one picks up a fire half way through that feels like the band just couldn't wait to layer something on top. The Jam that follows is unlike anything I've heard. Maybe a mix of the frenetic Other One and a Spanish jam. It's the motivation for me typing this review. Then as if that wasn't enough a great Other One follows." or this one "Reviewer: jjoops - - June 1, 2004
Subject: absolutely essential. This is an incredible recording and an all-time great performance. Among many many noteworthy items is the crazy jam preceding the other one. If I could only bring 6 or so minutes of music to the proverbial desert island, that unique and utterly maniacal jam might just be it. Get it."
