IDKWYCTD Remix Robert came out for String Cheese's encore "Close Your Eyes" later in the night, when they brought out the pedal steel, Bill Nershi sat down at it and scratched his head. Kyle, the keyboardist, said, "Hey Billy,do you know how to play that thing?" Billy shook his head. Then Kyle said something like "I bet there is someone around here who does, where's Robert?" At first I wasn't sure if Robert felt comfortable playin this SCI song, but when it came time to solo, he brought the whole band to a higher level, trading licks with Michael Kang and really havin' a good time! As usual, people were in awe of the pedal steel, and Robert's work on it. And, people were shocked when they heard Danyel sing on "Papa was..." Seeded by grout on 8/27/2002 |
