Back-to-basics rock from Detroit, Michigan. The enigmatic bass-free duo is comprised of supposed brother and sister team Jack White (b. John Anthony Gillis - Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards and Piano) and Meg White (Drums, Backing Vocals and Tambourine). The relationship between the two performers has always been a bit of a mystery. An internet article claimed the couple were once married and posted a marriage license and divorce certificate on the net. The band has never been very forthcoming on defining the relationship, preferring the focus to be on their music. The name of the band, and their red and white stage dress, is supposedly an aesthetic overture to peppermint candies and the child in all of us. This show unfortunately has pretty soggy sound.
