The Garden Of Eden, Tullamore, Ireland
Media CD-R   1 disc

Administrator notes:

The show was in 'The Garden of Eden', Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Ireland on Sun 2nd March 1980. A history lesson. This gig in Tullamore have never been logged correctly, so here it is. U2 played Tullamore, Co. Offaly in the midlands of Ireland on Sun 2nd March 1980. I was there. There were only about 20 people in the hall. The hall was called 'The Garden of Eden' its since been pulled down and a block of apartments built there. I'm from Tullamore and I lived there at that time. The problem with logging the show was that some reporter from NME or Melody Maker in England was with U2 that week, and reported the gig as being in 'Tullyermeny' or somewhere like that, so that's where the confusion occurs. As I said, there was only about 20 people at the gig, I recorded the gig at the time on a tape deck. I gave copies to some friends from time to time, and so BAD boots of the gig have appeared. I've now got the equipment to clean it up, and it's on CD. The quality is very good for an audience tape. I'm not 100% sure about the titles to the songs, but I've given it my best shot. I've called the CD 'Garden of Remembrance' - because it was in' The Garden of Eden' and 23 years is a long time to remember back ....

Notes on the TREE:

This is my 1st Tree, so apologies for any mistakes.

My Notes: I received this disc with tiny gaps between the tracks. I used WavTrim to remove the gaps.
Tech Notes Directly From Harry Cullen:

I played the audio cassette through my 4 Tascom Track
machine, which has a lot of functionality. I used the
analogue equalizer on the 4 Track to clean up the
sound as best I could, then I used LP RECODER to copy
the sound onto the PC and thus created 2 wav files,
one for each side of the audio cassette.

I used LP RIPPER to break up the large wav files into
indivual files for the individual tracks. LP RIPPER
lets you identify the start and end of each track down
to 1/10th of a second. So you identify the end of the
first track as, say, 4 min 21.7seconds, and use this
location (4 min 21.7seconds) as the start of the
second track, and so on.

This way I was able to create individual tracks. I
didn't use the fade function as most poeple don't seem
to like that.

To burn the CD I put the individual wav files into
EASY CD CREATOR using the Disk At Once (DAO) setting.
This eliminated the 2 second gap between the tracks.
