| Notes | Notes on recording at the Family Affaire, 6-14 to 6-16-02 All recordings from the Family Affaire mainstage were made with a 4 mic matrix, with one stereo mic on stage, center front, and one mic each on the main PA speakers appr. 8 feet from each. The mains were appr 100 feet apart. Mics: Crown SASS MK II PZM stereo condenser mic, stage. Crown CM 700 cardioid condenser mics, one each per house main. Mixer: Shure FP-42 (4 channel into 2) mixer/power supply/preamp. Deck: Tascam DA-P1 Transfer: Turtle Beach Montego II Plus>Soundforge>wav/shn (MKW ACT). At the late night tent for Garaj Mahal, the same gear was used in the same manner but on a smaller scale. The beginning of the 1st set was late for me due to the logistics of moving the recording gear from the mainstage area to the late night area. There is a patch to offset this missing opening from Charlie Miller's matrix recording of the same set. Bob Cogswell |
