Notes Now?..I have some good things to tell you and some bad. First off?.This is a very dynamic soundboard. So..I am not liable for blown speakers (use an in-line fuse). This is the way a Fillmore Soundboard from the 60?s should sound (crisp and alive). Remember mixing was done live at times and there are segments where vocals and/or guitars disappear (for several seconds), only to come back at full volume!!
Now the bad part?.(though not too bad). This was dubbed off 3 master reels. The first reel starts from the middle of the 1st set until the middle of Mona. The second reel starts at the beginning of Mona. ?Disc? 1 and 2 overlap a bit (by a few seconds) on ?Backdoor Man?. There is also a break in the middle of ?who do you love? which is the start of the 3rd reel. The 3rd reel did not overlap. This is the way I got it?what can I tell you. I opted not to get an edited version of this show (3rd Gen) so I am leaving it up to the guys with Soundforge. You can put it together without sacrificing anything and seed the edited version (heros!!!). There are a few small dropouts hear and there?..what can I say.
Remember?I have to dubs these at real time?no fast dubs. Once a few have the show please share with others as I will jump off. I never used noise reduction and all my tapes are at 7 ? ips. Nothing has been edited out or EQ?d.
