J-Card Comment awesome torrent darkstar...definitely want the upgrade!!!

(that's funny you picked this show, b/c I'm torrenting 6/17/82 next)

Lotta rain that night!

Nice, roadrunner, thanks for the awesome post!!

For the true experience of this great show, play it while in the shower or stand outside during the next storm to hit town. It rained, then it rained, and then it rained some more.

This show is the gold standard of JGB shows. It may even by my personal favorite show in my collection by any band. I have the Steve Silberman source, and the sound quality is as stunning as Jerry's play, but I can't imagine that Rob Eaton and Jim Wise would make a bad recording. Grab this immediately if you don't have it.

IMO this is the best JGB show of all time.

and even though that is like picking a favorite book, or a favorite song, a favorite food or a favorite place, I have to agree with Neo Levo - if my desert island pick was limited to one and only one show, jgb or otherwise, this would be the show

and it has nothing to do with the fact that i was there - and yes, it was wet - if anyone happens to remember a freak down front to the right after the show in the pouring rain in front of the concession stand mournfully wailing and lamenting to anyone in earshot the fact that the rain had washed the salt off of his preztel, well we've "met"

I agree that this maybe the best JGB show. But i only saw about 100 between 78 and 95.

The Catfish John, HSIS, Road Runner, Love in the Afternoon and Don't let Go, Thats What Love.....Let it Rock==>The Deal are the best i've ever heard.

I was knee deep in the mud that night : } and lovin it!!

I just want to say thanks to everyone for the positive feedback of this show, this was my first JGB seed so I had to pick my Fav., and i see that i am not alone. My apologies to the messages i didnt reply to was sent down south on business, no choice. But i agree with jbraveman, this is a great time to compare sources, everyone seed em' if you got em'. Every time i hear this gem it just gets better!!!!!!

the let it rock->deal is pure energy, in its highest form

as for Music Mountain - it's gotta be the most powerful musical statement Jerry ever made - only one wrong note (we all know where that one is, don't we?), and of course Billy the K keepin' the beat!

One of the amazing things about this show is that Jerry was actually the opener and Bobby and the Midnites went on after Jerry. I feel sorry for Bob. How do you possibly go on and follow what many believe to be Jerry Garcia's finest performance ever?
