FYI for you picky deadheads.
According to Andy Lemieux:
1. This is not a Charlie Miller transfer. The discs were given to Charlie and he converted to shn.
2. There is no DAT generation involved, this recording went straight to Cassette, so the recording info should read "SBD > Master Cassette" NOT "SBD > DAT > Cassette." |

this is a much needed upgrade.
while the AKG 414s is a very nice recording of the show,
it drove me nuts how Brent was all but absent in the mix.
maybe because of tech diff?
thanks so much for the Sandstone board
wow, 2 kansas city shows, new transfers, in the past week.. VERY COOL :) by the way.. this show was the first show ever at sandstone amphitheatre :) hometown show, 2 rows back center made the night even better
And one of the hottest temperature wise. I just remember how the whole place seemed to get a few degrees cooler as they started playing Cold Rain.
so is brent clearer in this mix or is it something where every recording, aud or sbd, will have him low?
Hot! That is an understatement. When you talk about mind melting experiences, this show took the cake. I'll be interested in hearing the tapes, as my memories of this show are vague except for the temperatures and the very dark and murky Victim.
I remember the pavement lifting off the road 'cause of the heat. At night when the temperature dropped and the blacktop cooled you needed a 4 wheel drive to get across the parking lot.
