*2 notes about this track from Roger Silverstein:
First, on the radio show CD the second half of the song is obscured
by the narrator talking, rendering the music inaudible. The person
who tweaked the CD replaced that part of the song with music from a
cassette recording of the original radio broadcast. There is a slight
dip in sound quality, but it still sounds good, and is a dramatic
improvement over the original CD. Second, the title. When the CD was
first made, we did not have a title for the track, and "Barnlike" was
arbitrarily picked. I recently attended an Edgar duet concert with Mike
Marshall, and in the autograph line I asked Edgar to listen to the song
with a Discman that I had brought with me. He IDed the song as "Yomac Blues",
a collaboration between him and Mark O'Connor that did not make the final cut
for Appalachia Waltz.
