Notes This show is the liberated boot ?Piano Man Down Under?. It was definitely recorded for some official reason as Billy refers to the recording a number of times during the show. There is a prevalent analog hiss and Liberty?s drums are a bit dull, but if you adjust the levels it is a very enjoyable listen. Billy may have terminated his first contract for having his vocals sped up by 1/3rd RPM, but he certainly sounds young and squeaky on this show! Billy is in comedy stand-up mode and the stories behind some of the songs are just as fun as the music, with the band joining in with musical accompaniment to some of the tales. Awesome Joe Cocker cover that will make you pinch yourself and ask yourself if Joe is not actually on stage with the guys. Interesting ?orchestra?, as Billy calls it, includes mandolin, pedal steel and harmonica. Some minor issues include a half second gap, track 5 @ 3:19 and some small edits between songs. Great to have this fantastic show from Oz, the last in his shows in Sydney at the famous Opera House. Billy even has a go at ?Strine?! Thanks for this Ed. Crikey?s she?s a beauty, mate!!
