Eric Clapton   07/06/1974

War Memorial Stadium, Buffalo, NY
Media CD-R   2 discs
Notes This is the legendary July 6, 1974 Rich Stadium performance where the drunken Eric Clapton could barely sing and play. Sound isn't great but it doesn't matter as Clapton slurs through the songs. Freddie King tries to save the day. From the Japanese boot called "Singing With The King: Eric "Drunken" Clapton" Mislabeled War Memorial Stadium, Buffalo, NY it was actually played at Rich Stadium, Orchard Park, NY.

This contains the pitiful version of "Little Wing". Listen to Eric forget almost the entire "Presence Of The Lord" so he cuts it to the short 90 second version. His "I'm drunk, I haven't tuned this guitar in three days, (incoherent jibberish), thanks for being here" finale of Crossroads is classic. It's probably the most pathetic version you'll ever hear.

Oh, after you listen to this and say, he played decent, remember that was actually Freddie King (with the tuned guitar).

This is Clapton like you've never heard him before and never will again.
