This was the second to last of the shows from a tour that lasted around a month. All the band except Eric arrived at the venue early enough to have a relaxed dinner, and I brought a couple of bottles of a Zin that Alan and I really like. We downed both of them (there were six of us) and waited for the slack key Hawaian band to finish their set so we could load in and set up. Once the playing got underway, there can be heard, at various times, electronic noises from the stage coming from amp and cord problems that Fareed was having. The gear needed a rest and recovery period equally as much as the band. My first Weapons of Mass Destruction, DFA, and the Tipitina song. Good ranting on WMD. |
