First night of the 1978 U.S. tour to promote the Slowhand album, so I think it was the debut for some of

the most important EC songs ever, like Wonderful Tonight (you can tell it is a debut because of the totally

wrong start by EC !!!) and Lay Down Sally (Cocaine was premiered some months earlier during a Japanese

tour): an historic date !!!

I obtained this recording in a tape trade back in 1983; for more info and artwork check, as usual (tanks

Mark): http://www.geetarz.org/reviews/clapton/core.htm

but please note that this torrent comes from my old TDK-D tapes (supposed to be 3rd generation from the

master) and it is NOT from the CD bootleg "The Core" on the Beano label, so I cannot compare the quality

even if presume they should be very similar as the source should be the same.

I think this is a pretty good recording, especially if you consider that it is an audience recording from

more than 28 years ago: surely one of the best from the 1978 audience recordings, and a complete and long

show too (nearly 130 mins).

EC - guitar, vocals
