*Unfortunately, Rodney, the old sound-engineer is gone. However, the replacement is the sound engineer from Circa Survive. He does a very good job with the sound. As important, he is extremely cool with tapers - board access open-taping are still ok with the band. As a note, he asked what I would be using to record, DAT, & he said "ok - as long as you are using good equipment" ... that said, perhaps a possibility for less tolerance of other types of recorders? The recording was sourced from an XLR output / line-out / matrix from the board that made for a very clear & vibrant SBD recording of Dredg... the best one I've pulled as of this date. |
