| Tech Notes | DVD Format: 720x576 16:9 PAL with MPEG audio All material on this DVD is sourced directly from DVB digital TV broadcasts. The compressed MPEG data was captured directly using a PC DVB card, and it is that original data that is used on the DVD - no analogue stages, and no recompression. There was one recording glitch in the Glastonbury footage (see notes for details). All other footage is confirmed to be error-free - i.e. no dropped frames. DETAILED DVD CONTENT: 1. 25 June 2004 - Glastonbury Festival (36m 32s) Source: Live and delayed broadcasts on BBC Three and BBC Two Lineage: DVB digital satellite TV -> PC DVB card -> HD Video: 720x576 16:9 PAL MPEG-2 (original broadcast bitstream) Audio: 256kbps/48KHz MPEG-1, Layer II (original broadcast bitstream) 01 - Utopia* [01/11] 02 - Crystalline Green** [02/11] 03 - Lovely Head [03/11] 04 - Train [04/11] 05 - Human [05/11] 06 - Deer Stop [06/11] 07 - Strict Machine [10/11] Encore: 08 - Black Cherry [11/11] * (cuts in - first 10 seconds not broadcast) ** (cuts in - only last 2m 12s broadcast) The numbers in square brackets refer to the track positions in the full setlist. The unbroadcast tracks are Yes Sir, I Can Boogie (07/11), Tiptoe (08/11) and Twist (09/11). NOTES: This is all the footage broadcast by the BBC - some tracks are missing, and others are incomplete. Track 10 was broadcast on BBC Two, and the other tracks were broadcast (in four seperate parts) on BBC Three. There was one recording (or broadcast, I'm not 100% sure) error during "Human", resulting in some dropped video frames and about 5 seconds of missing audio. I cleaned the recording using "Project X" and then inserted about 5 seconds of silence into the recording in order to maintain A/V sync. The full performance was about 56 minutes long, including a 1-minute break for the encore. 2. 15 June 2004 - "Glastonbury Calling" (7m 29s) Source: Live broadcast on BBC Three, 14 June 2004 Lineage: DVB digital terrestrial TV -> PC DVB card -> HD Video: 720x576 16:9 PAL MPEG-2 (original broadcast bitstream) Audio: 256kbps/48KHz MPEG-1, Layer II (original broadcast bitstream) 01 - Train 02 - Yes Sir, I Can Boogie Notes: "Glastonbury Calling" was the BBC's build-up programme to Glastonbury 2004, broadcasting for 30 minutes each weekday evening during the two weeks leading up to the festival. This was the second show. 3. 10 July 2004 - Move Festival (7m 46s) Source: TV broadcasts on ITV1, July 2004 Lineage: DVB digital satellite TV -> PC DVB card -> HD Video: 704x576 16:9 PAL MPEG-2 (original broadcast bitstream) Audio: 192kbps/48KHz MPEG-1, Layer II (original broadcast bitstream) 01 - Train 02 - Strict Machine 03 - Interview Notes: ITV broadcasted two highlights shows from the Move festival. "Train" and the interview were broadcast seperately on one show, and "Strict Machine" was broadcast on the other show. 4. 11 July 2004 - T In The Park Festival (12m 46s) Source: TV broadcasts on BBC Three and BBC Two Scotland. Lineage: DVB digital satellite TV -> PC DVB card -> HD Video: 720x576 16:9 PAL MPEG-2 (original broadcast bitstream) Audio: 256kbps/48KHz MPEG-1, Layer II (original broadcast bitstream) 01 - Strict Machine 02 - Yes Sir, I Can Boogie 03 - Interview Notes: "Strict Machine" was broadcast on a T in The Park highlights programme on BBC Two Scotland on 30 July 2004. "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie" was broadcast on BBC Two Scotland's highlight show on the night of the performance. The interview was broadcast on BBC Three during the evening of the performance. "Strict Machine" was also broadcast on BBC Three, but the BBC Two Scotland version is of higher quality and does not have the BBC Three on-screen logo. 5. 20 April 2001 - Later...
