Notes Aud - Slightly below average show. Not everyone seems to agree on some seques. Playin > St Stephen > Wheel best part of show. Updated review [11/5/2004]. set 1 has all teh tunes played in what is becoming the "just exactl perfect" style. Tight, attention on tone and not much jamming wankery. Set 2 has 3 sections of music. It starts with the segue section PITB > SS > Wheel >PITB. The PITB evolves into a minor atonal, harse sounding jam which isn't one of your "foot tapping" versions. Intellectual music. The transition to SS is of brief duration but the crowd likes it because it is a phsyically engaging contrast to the previous mental music. The Wheel has nice guitar tone and sound with the segue back into PITB interesting as each member of the group does the transition at slightly different times without it coming across as confusion. The 2nd part of set 2 is Samson, Crazy > Stella which are played in a set 1 style with some jamming but none notable. Then the show ends with 3 rockers - A&R > OMSN and US Blues. Phil says "that' it" and sounds pleased with the performance. Overall - they put some effort into this show but the exceptional magic didn't happen to make this worthy to actively seek out. The recording is very good for the time and gives an accurate accounting of what happened.
