| J-Card Comment | The Richard Thompson Band The Half Moon Putney, UK April 25, 1986 I had a lousy tape of this and the Clive Gregson Band set that opened. Clive says, at the beginning of this, that 'we're not supposed to be here'; wait until you hear it - even for a surprise warmup gig, it's a corker. What a treat for the people who went to hear Clive & Christine. This set was short, but sweet and the best RT band show of the 1985 winter/spring tour, as far as I'm concerned. They are pumped and sound like they're really enjoying themselves - and so does the audience - it must have been infectious. Anyway, I spent a number of years trying to track the taper down as my cassettes sounded like they were recorded from the bottom of a pool. Finally, around 1998-99(?), someone put me in touch with a man in the UK they thought might have taped it. He said he had, he was kind enough to dig out his masters, and he made me my cdrs. Many, many thanks to him, wherever he may be now.
