*Suspected Lineage and edits:

I can only 100% verify the lineage above but I think the lineage goeslike this:
Master CASS > CDR(x) TAO > CASS (My copy)

The sound is as good as a 2nd GEN CASS but on my copy there are gaps between the songs that are exactly 2 seconds long (TAO). As with 70% of my Whigs collection, Whigs fans have yet to master the use of the DAO option when burning disks. I repaired the gaps and for some reason tracks 5 and 6 were in the wrong order. I switched them and the switch seems to have been gapless. This lends me to believe that this show was ripped to a HDD then burned TAO at one point with tracks 5 and 6 out of order. When I see lineage this strange I look long and hard to make sure it isn't LOSSY. After a thorough spectral and frequency analysis it does not appear to have,or sound like it has data reduction in it's lineage. I did fade in/outs only at the very beginning and end of the show. I Adjusted the balance. There were a few spots where the right channel sizzled and cut out. On these spots I cross faded in the left channel. This happens 3 times on the recording for 1-3 seconds.

Because CDR is 80min and tape is 45min a side I had to stitch the tracks back together. For some reason the 2nd tape, or 3rd side, has a different sound quality. It's a bit thinner sounding. I had to normalize the 3rd side to -13db AVG RMS to get it to more closely match the other tape. When I stiched it all together I was supprised how complete and decent sounding the recording came out.

I have also applied a compressor(1.8:1), limiter, and stereo expander and reduced 200khz by about -1.4bd using a high Q. No NR was used.

I normally don't mess with recording that aren't my own but this needed a lot of help before seeding.

Having said all of that, this is a good sounding show maybe a B-. Hopefully the master will show up some day.
