The Waves Q10 Paragraphic EQ v5.0 plug-in was used to de-emphasize the recording. The original 48 kHz .wav files from the DAT transfer have been archived, and are available upon request. Big thanks to Dave Flaschner for letting me borrow his DAT tape! Trey, with huge balloon and flowers in hand, dedicated Amazing Grace to his sister on her 30th birthday. Amazing Grace was performed without microphones. Reba included odd variations on the "Bag it/tag it" lyrics, an atypical jam, and a Simpsons Signal. The vocal jam in YEM included a brief piece of the traditional Clementine. MMGAMOIO was played for the first time since May 6, 1992 (82 shows). tech notes: minor drop-out in "Suzy Greenberg" from [00:23] to [00:25] some digi-noise in "Poor Heart" from [00:41] to [00:50] these spots were patched with the following source: "unknown audience source" http://db.etree.org/shn/20977 I also de-emphasized the previously circulating "unknown audience" source, as it sounded like it had been recorded with pre-emphasis. I was then able to splice in the fixes without cross-fades, meaning that the fix is completely seamless and you won't notice a thing. This also leads me to believe that the "unknown audience" source is the same as this source. However, this new source/transfer is a nice improvement over the previously circulating source, if for no other reason than the pre-emphasis has been addressed and the complete lineage is known. |
