Notes:

This concert features a unique, short-lived and spectacular version of the E Street Band:

Bruce Springsteen - vocals, all guitars, harmonica, piano on "For You"
Garry Tallent - bass, tuba
Danny Federici - organ, accordian
Clarence Clemons - sax
David Sancious - piano
Ernest "Boom" Carter - drums

This is the version of the E Street Band that recorded Springsteen's anthem, "Born to Run," in 1974. The 'Born
to Run' album features a different line-up in which David Sancious was replaced by Roy Bittan and Ernest Carter
was replaced by Max Weinberg. Steve Van Zandt would not become an official member until the Born to Run tour
and Patti Scailfa and Nils Lofgren did not join until the Born in the USA tour, ten years later.

Wild Billy's Circus Story starts the show in a stripped down arrangement reminiscent of Springteen's '73 in-studio
radio performances. The version of New York City Serenade is, in my opinion, the single greatest live rendition
of the song ever captured on tape. For You is presented in a breath-taking solo piano rendition.

ESSENTIAL LISTENING for fans of early Springsteen.

Enjoy,
