J-Card Comment Contrast Clause:
This version of the 'digital FM (192kbps)' broadcast is a modified version of the original torrent posted by theodrik (#3) which was subsequently banned from Dime:
see theodrik's original text file below.

It (#3) was banned as it was from the same source as the current torrent by lolive (#1) here:
http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=173771

It is the same show but not the same 'FM tuner' source of the torrent posted by Tony50 (#2) currently here:
http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=173777

Modification details:

Having compared the 3 versions posted on Dime, I picked the #3 version posted by theodrik as being the best sounding (from a detailed comparison of spectra of all 3) to work on to edit & clean up as best I could.

note: The digital FM versions (#1 & #3) have a very slight stereo image whereas the FM tuner version (#2) is a pure mono signal.

All 3 versions had the following "problems" (IMO):
- French DJ talking during songs & also between songs.
- Lots of ticks & clicks
- Mains hum audible during quiet sections
- some noticeable edits & repeats
- No dynamics in volume

I have attempted to fix all these problems by:
- editing out the DJ (all except after D&C which was the only one that was harmless IMO)
- de-clicking (hopefully all of them ... but you never know!!)
- filtering out the 50Hz hum
- editing to make all breaks & transistions seemless
- adding some volume changes to try & help improve the dynamics (hopefully tastefully done??!!)

Other tweaks performed:
- centre the stereo image (by +0.4db on right channel)
- boost overall volume by +1dB
- add fade-in & -out
- add 1 sec silence for lead-in & lead-out
- slight adjustment of track positions

IMO the show is much more listenable now (mainly due to the lack of DJ & clicks ..I ask you which is worse??? LOL)

This is being posted due to several Dimers asking about how to remove the DJ chat. If you are happy with the original version, either from lolive or Tony50, then you really don't need this one. However if the DJs & clicks drive you mad and slightly sour what is an outstanding sweet, newly uncovered recording of Zep in their early prime then I recommend this alternate.

Hope you like it ... if you have any comments then please keep them friendly ;-)

LED ZEPPELIN
Olympia, Paris (France), 10.10.1969
First broadcast : 11.02.1969
Second Broadcast (not complete) : 07.12.2007

7 separate tracks, total time: 78'01" :
01 - Communication Breakdown
02 - I Can't Quit You Baby
03 - Heartbreaker
04 - Dazed And Confused
05 - White Summer/Black Mountain Side
06 - You Shook Me
07 - How Many More Times
Moby Dick was played but not broadcasted.

DJ's poor announcements in the middle of the songs... except on You Shook Me. I cut an annoying chat between track 05 and 06, the only talk during audience applause !

Lineage : Sat broadcasted radio (CD quality mentioned on it) captured directly on PC with Magix Audio Cleanic 12 -> FLAC 8 with Nero

No artwork but Tony50 give a great job IMHO.
