J-Card Comment John Hiatt / Los Lobos
Austin City Limits 1989
(NTSC DVD) (XP/LPCM, 58m)

Comments: This is a reseed/upgrade from a previous torrent of mine. I originally uploaded it in 2005
in SP/AC3 mode (don't remember why, it was early days for me) and without any menu
navigation. It's such great music that I decided to redo it after watching it
again recently. The fab Sonny Landreth is in Hiatt's band here and if you're not familiar
with him and like smokin' guitar playing, do yourself a favor. The equally fab Dave
Hidalgo plays about eighteen instruments in the Los Lobos section, or so it seems. Overall
it's one of my favorite ACLs and one of the few I have with absolutely nothing missing, just
as it was broadcast. It's also nice that my tapes don't seem to have deteriorated at all in
nearly twenty years! If you look closely, right before "El Gusto" you can see someone who
looks very much like Tish Hinojosa in the audience.

Commercial Availablility: To my knowledge none of this material has ever been commercially available on video or DVD.
