(missing part reintegrated) In the tape the volume rises in the middle of City Of Tiny Lites. I didn't correct this - I think anyone can adjust this easily if he/she wants. My intention was to seed the recording "as it is" (except for the necessary fills). I suggest to split the show between Nig Biz and Tinseltown. Here are N-Lites notes, from walk's info file: In 1984 FZ was supposed to perform at Rome's Palasport (aka PalaEur) on October 15th. Tickets were printed and sold. Three days before the show a union strike was announced and the concert cancelled. So they decided to move it to Teatro Tenda Pianeta, a much smaller venue, actually a big circus tent, so to cover all the pre-sold tickets they decided to have three shows instead of one! That's why he performed on the 14th, 15th and the 16th. Actually it turned out to be a good change. The smaller place had better acoustics and it was the first time I could attend a FZ show sitting on a chair. My notes: I was at this show. I remember vaguely that the show began with a kind of impromptu song in which (I think) Ike Willis played with a basket ball and FZ said "He used to be a basketball player" while a rubber chicken swung across the stage. The references to basket during the show (among which "City of tiny basketball players") are due to the fact that that year Bancoroma (Rome's basketball team) had won the European Championship. credits: many thanks to walk for the original seed and for "ringing a bell" in my mind about the other tape. many many thanks to MP for the tape |
