The Wall of Sound is nailed by the sound crew and the Dead for this show. Set within an outdoor Stadium, this close-up infield FOB spatially captures sound from the two Aux PA towers on the infield, behind the taper. The sound delay from the Wall of Sound to the Aux PA towers adds a touch of ear candy as it rolls around the stadium. This was by far the best sound fidelity experience I ever heard come out of a PA System, period. It was a sensational orgy of sound. -- Monte AUD2 (shnid = 89681) Recording Info: (FOB) Unknown Mics -> Cassette Master -> Reel (1/4 Track - 7.5 ips) Transfer Info: Reel (Sony TC-366) -> Korg MR-1000 -> Samplitude Professional v10.02 -> FLAC (2 Discs Audio / 1 Disc FLAC) All Transfers and Mastering By Charlie Miller and Neil Sturtevant charliemiller87@earthlink.net January 26, 2008 Notes: -- Disc change is seamless -- Recorded by Bill Gadsden Patched using: SBD (shnid = 89730) Recording Info: SBD -> Master Reel -> Dat -> CD Transfer Info: CD -> Samplitude Professional v10.01 -> FLAC (4 Discs Audio / 3 Discs FLAC) All Transfers and Mastering By Charlie Miller charliemiller87@earthlink.net January 29, 2008 Patch Info: (FOB) Unknown Mics -> Master Cassette -> Reel -> Korg MR-1000 supplies: Eyes Of The World (6:54 - 6:56) Notes: -- All disc changes are seamless -- This is a fixed version of shnid=89640 -- Cleaned up many flaws and fixed the levels -- It may not be perfect, but it's a lot better -- Patch source recorded by Bill Gadsden -- Patch source transferred by Charlie Miller and Neil Sturtevant -- Set 3 is with Merl Saunders, Dickey Betts and Butch Trucks -- Beginning of Beat It On Down The Line is cut -- There are some flaws in The Race Is On that still remain -- Reel flip in GDTRFB patched with alternate SBD source -- Thanks to Jeremy Humphreys for the GDTRFB patch --------------------------------------------------------- Brokedown House Production |
