| Tech Notes | UPDATE: I have an upgrade of the original Flac files, mastered by the taper, who also included the untouched files for those who prefer things raw. Note to self: stored on the 2005-11-22 data disc. "Mastering: FLAC's were converted to WAV files and the audience noise was reduced -4dB in Sony Soundforge. WAV's were then sent to Adobe Audition where hiss reduction (standard) was placed on the whole set. WAV's were then sent back to Soundforge and raised +2dB. WAV's were then converted to FLAC using FLAC Frontend (Level 8)" "Recording Notes: The show was recorded about 7 rows back and maybe 3 seats left of center. Mics were clipped the the zip of a jumper: facing forwards and slightly outwards. I didn't get a chance to check my levels due to stealth taping this so I had to raise them later. Because of this there is a bit of a hiss on the recording. This is only as noticable on the acoustic part of the set. I had time to adjust my levels for the Q+A so I only needed to raise the volume +16db." |
