Review from Steve's Concert Trading Page run by Steve Vahey

NOTE: This is from a nice, clean D3 source recorded most likely with the Minimic.

This was a really clean 1st generation cassette conversion to cd. No EQ adjustment

or noise reduction were needed at all. Just some digital editing was done at 32

bit to remove some gaps, increase the levels, and fade in/out. The tapes were

recorded at a good level, so there's really no audible background noise on this.

These tapes were a real pleasure to convert compared to some shows I've worked on.

The first couple tracks are slightly less clear than the rest of the show. By

track 2 (I Will Follow) the taper starts to get his mics up and it's pretty

consistently excellent for the rest of the show. No nearby crowd noise and no

conversations. Taper had good positioning, although it's slightly distant (kick

drum is not very punchy). This is a complete recording. There are two short

distortions at the beginning of Disc 1, track 5 (One Tree Hill). They sound like

they're from the master to me, but aren't distracting at all.

Additional comments: This is honestly one of the clearest Joshua Tree shows I've

heard. Honestly, disc 2 even blows away "Rock's Hottest Ticket". If you love the

J.T. era (and who doesn't), this is a MUST HAVE!
