| Notes | Bob Dylan and Rolling Thunder Review The Palace Theater; Waterbury, CT 1975-11-11 Silver CD Boot title: Satisfied Man Label: Blue Eye Records / BER 002 [this release is rated as a "Top 25 Must Have" Dylan boot at bobsboots.com] *************************************** Source: Mono soundboard Runtime: 73 minutes Lineage: Silvers>EAC>FLAC *************************************** Review from http://www.bobsboots.com/CDs/cd-s16.html "This disc represents the entire Dylan portion of the circulating mono soundboard recording. It is believed that the entire show was recorded in stereo from the sound console. Never to have surfaced are the show's two opening numbers, 'When I Paint My Masterpiece' and 'It Ain't Me, Babe'. The sound quality of the recording is as true and clean as any ever made along the Rolling Thunder tour. The vocals are crisp, powerful, and on top of the mix. All instruments are well balanced and represented in the overall sound. The 11th recording made along the tour, this show was recorded on the 11th day of the 11th month .... and what a magical mystery tour it is. The complex, though loose weaving and interacting of the instruments and vocals create a beautiful tapestry that will not be matched on any tour before or since. With the 'Desire' album to be released in a few weeks, Bob relies heavily on it for the show material. The cryptic songs of desire and despair add another layer to the thick blanket of mythography that is, was, and will forever be 'Rolling Thunder." Excerpts from http://www.expectingrain.com/dok/rmd/xyx/60/beneath61.html#542: "As or the show, well, it just does'nt get much better than this. The show seems loose and spontaneous, like they're just blowin' into town to hit you with a lethal dose of (salvation) & folk and roll that is chock full of mystery, history and a strange but interesting cast of characters both in the songs and onstage. Dylan sings with wild abandon in some places (Hard Rain, Isis) and with a soft, breathtaking beauty in others (Oh Sister, Sara). ..The acoustic set w/Joan is worth the price of admission...What a unique sound Dylan put together for these shows. Uncharacterizable, it seems, beyond simply calling it Dylan music. And he never sang better, wrapping that voice of sand and glue (thanks, Bowie) around words and sounds like only he can, getting inside the words and the whole language even, twisting and turning words & phrases into something new and different each time, revealing more about these songs than anyone could or should expect." *************************************** Tracks: Hard Rain Romance In Durango Isis Blowin' In The Wind Water Is Wide I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine Never Let Me Go (J.C.
