"Notes:
The band with one of the damn coolest names out there. The Casbah has seen hundreds of great bands perform there. It's always nice to see a band like this choose this venue (which is a bar the size of a living room) over the other default venue in town, Soma, which can hold upwards of 1,200 and doesn't serve alcohol. This show was LOUD. Really loud. Perhaps the recording doesn't reflect that, but take my word for it. LOUD. And it was great. The band had a really good time, and so did I. Because the Casbah is so small, it's actually pretty difficult to pull a bad tape there. The shame of it is that plenty of wonderful bands play there, yet very few of those shows seem to get taped. Or, at least, see the light of day. But, alas, that's San Diego for you.
Enjoy!" |
