On the evening of 4/26/71 after an afternoon of rehearsals and in front of a very small invitation only audience selected tunes from the piece were performed live. Many of these songs would re-emerge on classic Who albums to follow over the next few years and become classic rock standards. Here they are performed for the first time. On a 2003 deluxe re-issue of "Who's Next" this was finally released but I'm betting it'll still be new to many of your ears. Interesting to hear these songs fresh and before any changes that were made as they were released on subsequent studio albums. |
