notes:
complete recording of the second night at the Madison Square Garden
this comes from the great part from the same source used for In A Pig's Eye (DR) but has also U&T that never appeared before ; this track is here indeed clearly attached from a different master clone since sounds not as much good than the rest of the recording (is a bit more hissy).
I got actually a different U&T track coming from a better source then.
the first U&T has a piece of audience missing at the beginning (the one where the guy shouts "all right!") that's present in the second U&T ... the second U&T sounds really better than the first (less hissy) but has a sorta skip on "move from side to side", at this point on the first U&T there's a little gap of silence indeed (as a loss of channels).
sound quality here is a bit better than In A Pig's Eye, but still doesn't reach that neat excellent sound the dear ol' Welcome To The Machine has
notes as they came with the files:
An excellent audience recording from the master tapes. This is a well-played show towards the end of the tour. This was the second of four straight shows in New York and the date explains the presence of firecrackers throughout the show—two very loud ones explode during a quiet passage near the end of 'Pigs (3DO)'. After an extended piano solo at the end of 'Wish You Were Here', both Gilmour and Snowy White play fine solos during the jam in the second half of 'Shine on You Crazy Diamond,' which as always ends with Wright’s keyboard tribute to a number of early Syd Barrett songs.
Disc One:
- 'Sheep' - The first few notes are cut.
- 'Dogs' - Fadeout after the song ends. I suspect this is due to a tape flip, with the taper using 60 minute cassette tapes.
Disc Two:
- 'SOYCD (Pts 6-9)' - The taper seems to have bumped his record button at 12:55.

Waters does not reveal any number here.
