Tech Notes Just like yesterday with JIMMY RILEY, the HEPTONES are one of these reggae artists I personally
only have one live show of. The group consists of Leroy Sibbles, Earl Morgan and Barry Llewellyn
who started (just like all the first generation Reggae greats) at Studio One in the mid 60s before
they moved on to other producers like Joe Gibbs or Harry J. In 1977 they joined forces with LEE
SCRATCH PERRY to record another reggae classic: "Party Time". Soon after SIBBLES left to pursue a
solo career and was replaced by NAGGO MORRIS.

In 1995 the original HEPTONES reunited and released the album "Pressure". And that's where we catch
them, on their subsequent "Reunion Tour". The sound on this 2CD is brilliant, listen to some of the
dub effects on the longer songs.
