| Notes | Incomplete audience recording (123:55) Lineage: aud>?>tape>(unknown gens) >tape >wav(?) > AIFF (Amadeus Pro) >edits (Peak4.0, Wave Filters, Logic Pro 7, Amadeus Pro) >track splitting on sector boundaries (Amadeus Pro) >Flac (xACT) General Notes: This is an audience recording of the celebrated "Live at Leeds" gig. I think it is worth a listen, not as substitute for the commercial release--we all have that in one form or another already, right? And nobody in their right mind would pass up the soundboard recording for this. But it is interesting for research purposes to help figure out what was added and subtracted from the commercial release and the "Live at Leeds Complete" boot. (This is the AUD recording I used to make the "Live at Leeds Absolutely Complete" aud/snb blend.) SQ: Varies from poor to fair. The music is audible all the way through, with little distortion (I've heard, and enjoyed, far worse tapes than this). But the quiet sections and the dialog suffer from a nasty hum that I have tried to reduce using parametric equalization. In parts, the dialog is very difficult to discern. Edit Notes: This is an unknown gen recording that was not in great shape when I received it. I used multitrack editing, some noise reduction, equalization, and compression to try and improve it. I used the tracking from my "Live At Leeds Absolutely Complete". Comparison of the AUD recording with the Live At Leeds-Deluxe Edition" and "Live At Leeds Complete (Midas Touch)": I have not done a detailed comparison, so there may be other differences that are not noted here. 1) See "http://lukpac.org/lal.htm" for a detailed comparison of the differences between the Live At Leeds-Deluxe Edition" and "Live At Leeds Complete (Midas Touch)" (text included here). 2) I had previously noted that I thought that some of the infamous crackles were audible to the audience; now I'm not so sure. 3) 03 Can't Explain. Major differences in the vocal arrangements from both snb versions of L&L. 4) 06 Intro to Young Man Blues. Entwistle comment "Two mistakes I made" not audible on AUD tape 5) 36 Intro to My Generation. The cough and laugh audible on "Live At Leeds Complete (Midas Touch)" not audible here. Presumably they come from a sound engineer at some point. 01 Intro to Heaven and Hell 0.21 (Cuts in) 02 Heaven and Hell 4.31 03 Can't Explain 3.17 04 Fortune Teller 2.35 05 Tattoo 3.04 06 Intro to Young Man Blues 1.08 07 Young Man Blues 6.30 08 Substitute 2.07 09 Happy Jack 2.14 10 I'm a Boy 2.58 11 Intro to A Quick One 5.11 12 A Quick One 8.47 13 Intro to Tommy 1.43 14 Overture 5.24 15 It's A Boy 0.24 16 1921 2.27 17 Amazing Journey 3.18 18 Sparks 4.34 19 Eyesight To The Blind 1.46 (Cuts in at beginning) 20 Christmas 3.13 (Cut at 0.57.
