Tech Notes Recommended without hesitation! Below are some further notes from the seeder:

"I know this show has already been seeded here (http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...ghlight=shakti) and here (http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...ghlight=shakti) at TTD before, but looking at the attached screens of the first, I suspect the aspect ratio came out wrong for that one. The original broadcast was letterboxed. I have downloaded the smallest VOB and text file to check it against my fresh capture. And indeed this capture differs from the original broadcast (see attached pictures). Also the info given about the audio aspects do not concur. On the website here it is stated that it has 'Audio: Ac3 48Khz stereo 192 kb/s', the info file says 'Audio : 1536 kbps LPCM and Audio: Ac3 48Khz stereo 192 kb/s', while GSpot says the VOB file I downloaded is 'Audio: Ac3 48Khz stereo 224 kb/s'!? My 50 cents on this one is that somebody took totakealook's DVD (Shakti & Jarreau) and messed about. Any way here is my capture of this show, with the original aspect ratio and a slightly higher video and audio bitrate."

"Video: PAL 25 fps, I/L TFF, 4:3 LB (720 x 576), MPEG2 9200 kbps(Avg)
Audio: AC3 CBR, 48000Hz 256 kb/s tot , stereo (2/0) (GSpot)

Remember Shakti is a quintet which combines elements of traditional Indian music with elements of jazz. The band consists of John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, U. Srinivas , Shankar Mahadevan, and V. Selvaganesh. The band's name is derived from John Mclaughlin's acoustic Indian fusion band Shakti which was active in the 1970s. That band consisted of John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, L. Shankar, T.H. "Vikku" Vinayakram, and R. Raghavan. The word "Shakti" translates in Sanskrit to "female creative power" or "goddess. Remember Shakti, just like John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra, is extremely multinational, and multigenerational. McLaughlin was born in the United Kingdom, and is of Scottish descent, Zakir Hussain hails from North India, while U. Srinivas, Shankar Mahadevan, and V. Selvaganesh all hail from South India. McLaughlin is in his 60s, Hussain is in his 50s, and Srinivas, Mahadevan, and Selvaganesh are all in their 30s."
