Throwing Stones> 05. Not Fade Away Encore: 06. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds Notes I am posting this to set the record straight since I hate people speading false rumors like Uncle Petrix. I was the first deck patched and then I was told to spread the feed. (allowing patches) My friend Jamie Young (from Eco-Charge) and I were on Spring tour testing out his battery systems. We ran an AMS ST250 FOB and a pair of B&K 4011's front row of the taper section each night for back up. I even ran a patch for Bear (Owsley) from the B&K's many of the nights but I didn't stand in the taper section... It was too much work upfront so usually it took Jamie and I and at times, the help of others as well. After the last night of Atlanta (the shows before Chapel Hill) Jamie and I were packing up when I stood up and Howard Dancheck was almost standing next to us. I tapped Jamie on the shoulder so he would stand up too... It was time to talk to Howard. We thought he was going to ask for the tapes or give us a speach or something about how we shouldn't be doing what we had been doing... Surely we were busted. Turns out he just told us that he'd been watching us lately and wanted us to know that he thought we've been working really hard at getting away with what we'd been doing. That was it. We just kind of stood there and didnn't really know what to say. We handed him some kind and thanked him and everyone went there way. When we got back to our friends house where we were staying we talked about what we'd do in Chapel Hill since we would see Howard again. We decided to walk up to the board and ask permission to record upfront. We figured maybe Healy and Howard could make things a little easier for us if they really wanted to. To our surprise Healy couldn't believe we actually were asking and said Yes. Just as we had started to walk away he said, hold on, wait a minute, you want to ask me to tape upfront but you don't want to ask for a board feed? Jamie and I looked at each other and then almost at the same time responded, well we would love to have a board feed but figured that was out of the question. Healy said he'd give us a feed and that we could run FOB too. All this took place in front of a bunch of nosey tapers who couldn't believe the guys who were taping from the forbidden area were given permission to now do it again and on top of that we now getting a board patch. As fast as I could pull cables for the patch out of my bag there were tapers crawling over my back trying to get the feed as if Healy was talking to them. Healy calmed everyone down and said for the feed to be spread through out the section. That is the honest truth as it happened although this may not be exact quotes... (Hey, it was a while ago) But that's what happened. No money was paid for a board feed and that's not why Healy was fired. Anyone who says different has no idea what they are talking about. md5; cc9e8ea919863d70c8a57c92365d3efe *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T01.flac 032dbd5eabdf57a10e4f11a9d921f649 *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T02.flac dd8cb816409d4505056e7db0514825ef *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T03.flac dfafb31fe675a604d6386015f9f08ba5 *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T04.flac 39aabce0218788f21a864bde9ad54307 *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T05.flac 3d863b8894f17ebc11c53bbaa3914e3f *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T06.flac 5c7993f60abc6c3ce15cb85125338b73 *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T07.flac 9651bb433e67bf71bc6fe8c8906f9dde *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T08.flac 211460e0eb71a4699011ed0b532d77fc *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T01.flac be5d8947aa1b883a6f9321f22b456d8a *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T02.flac fdabcc82dad19dc99a3e8c36831bca3e *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T03.flac b0739ebf9fba9164b282a8a0136a01ff *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T04.flac 3cd9797aa1854114962e77b9affc0814 *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T05.flac 8bcb75669c4fcc9c0378ec81c9d6ed69 *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T06.flac cfad777f9815cc556df024b7ee45e876 *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T07.flac dc6bbb5f0e6c8bd8da3fce9762d49127 *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T01.flac 4239fe58f443616cd6d189669c2a3a5e *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T02.flac a3596a645e38d39c0a7a2829ba6175f0 *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T03.flac 49bad959caceb1d4db1bb2005f49a737 *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T04.flac d19d2fca754262bf9ea772f2f880407f *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T05.flac db4be83d266686982d2ee507dca2a25e *gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T06.flac shntool; length expanded size cdr WAVE problems filename 2:32.18 26855180 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T01.flac 5:31.74 58562492 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T02.flac 5:43.49 60620492 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T03.flac 8:12.02 86793548 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T04.flac 6:09.17 65131628 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T05.flac 9:26.66 99997676 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T06.flac 9:02.68 95768780 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T07.flac 11:28.62 121508600 -b- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD1T08.flac 2:35.35 27424364 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T01.flac 6:54.33 73107260 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T02.flac 6:43.61 71232716 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T03.flac 5:35.14 59126972 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T04.flac 9:28.43 100296380 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T05.flac 3:26.18 36380780 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T06.flac 4:39.50 49334188 -b- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD2T07.flac 20:12.08 213815660 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T01.flac 4:43.25 49980044 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T02.flac 8:12.03 86795900 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T03.flac 9:19.28 98673500 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T04.flac 12:01.24 127240892 --- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T05.flac 4:50.68 51316452 -b- -- ---xx gd1993-03-24.MSBD.KEYSERD3T06.flac 156:50.16 1659963504 B (totals for 21 files, 0.4815 overall compression ratio) |
